Answers

Benefits Of A New Home
  1. Do I need to make an appointment to visit a showhome?

No, please feel free to visit our sales and marketing suites and showhomes anytime during opening hours.  Before embarking on your journey please check with our on-site sales consultant that it is available for viewing and for opening times.
  2. How much do I have to pay for a reservation fee?

We usually require £250 or £500 as a reservation fee but this may vary regionally
  3. Is my reservation fee refundable?

The reservation fee is not refundable
  4. Can I reserve a property before it is released for sale?

No.  You cannot reserve a property before it is released for sale.  Please keep in contact with our sales department for release dates and check our website for new developments.
  5. Do I need to make an appointment to visit a member of the sales team?

No, please call at any of our sales and marketing suites if you have any questions regarding our developments. Do, however, check opening hours before you visit.
  6. I have a question about my new home, who do I call?

Your initial contact would be with your sales consultant and if required they may direct your query to our Customer Services Department who will help to solve any problems or warranty issues you may have with your new home.  So, after moving into your new home, please direct your questions to this department rather than to the sales consultants.  The Customer Service Department has systems and procedures in place to ensure that all problems or questions can be dealt with as quickly as possible.

Tel: Claire Stoddart (Customer Care) 01463 229300
  7. Is there a waiting list for new releases?

Yes, the on-site sales consultant usually holds a list of customers who are interested in future properties so they can be contacted when these plots are released for sale.
  8. When do I actually own my new home?

Legal completion is the actual moment when you become the legal owner of your new home.

At legal completion your mortgage advance is transferred to Tulloch Homes’ solicitors and your solicitor will receive the title deeds to your new property, which are then forwarded to the lender with whom you have your mortgage. You can then receive the keys to your new Tulloch Home.
  9. When should I insure my new home?

Your new home is insured by Tulloch Homes until the moment of legal completion.  From then on you are responsible for the insurance of both the building and its contents.  Your mortgage lender will insist on building insurance.  It is your choice whether to insure your contents or not.
