Good news for first time homebuyers – you can now benefit from new tax relief introduced into the Scottish Government’s Land and Buildings Transaction Tax.
The changes came into effect on June 30, raising the zero rate for first time buyers from £145,000 to £175,000 - which means 80 percent of first time buyers pay no LBTT at all!
And with the threshold rise, even first time buyers purchasing a more expensive property will save £600 on LBTT.
Tulloch Homes is delighted that this move makes acquiring your first home significantly more affordable.
