Room to grow, without leaving the area we loved

Claire and Andrew were keen to stay in the Inshes area they knew well as their son Arran and daughter Lily were settled at school nearby. Having previously lived in a Tulloch Homes flat on Wester Inshes Crescent, they trusted the housebuilder’s reputation and set their sights on a four-bedroom Etive at Parks View, Inverness.

We love the area we live in but wanted more space for our family, so started looking for homes nearby.

Buying a new build made the whole process far less stressful than it could have been. Many of the other properties we considered were being marketed at offers over, which meant competing with other buyers and potentially paying significantly above the asking price. With a new build, the price is fixed, giving us certainty over our budget from the outset.

As a family of four, storage was also a major consideration. Several of the new-build homes we viewed offered very little built-in storage, which made Tulloch stand out. Our first home together was a Tulloch flat on Wester Inshes Crescent, and even that had more built-in storage than many of the houses we later considered. We knew the quality and practicality we could expect, so the four-bedroom Etive with its garage and generous storage was the clear choice for us.

The kitchen is our favourite room; it’s bright and spacious, so has become the room we spend most of our time. I also love having an ensuite bathroom, and the kids have their own space upstairs, which we didn't have in our last house. A couple of my friends have recently bought a Tulloch Home as well, one in Fairview Heights and one who is moving in behind us at Parks View, so it was great to show them around our new house so they could see what they’re getting.

We love the fact that nobody has ever lived in our home before us - it’s a complete blank canvas to make our own.

The team at Tulloch Homes made the whole buying and reservation process easy too. Graeme, our sales advisor, took us round one of the houses which wasn’t even a show home, so we could see exactly what we’d be getting, and he kept in touch at every stage.
