Tulloch Homes chief executive George Fraser has congratulated Camanachd Cup winners Newtonmore for carrying home the much coveted cup following Saturday’s enthralling match.
The final at Mossfield Park, Oban, saw Newtonmore secure the Camanachd Cup for the third year in a row after their 3 – 0 victory over Lovat.
It was the 33rd time Newtonmore had lifted the cup.
George, a former cup winning Newtonmore player himself, presented the trophy to captain Andrew Mackintosh.
George said: “We are in our second year of sponsorship of the Camanachd Cup and it was a successful day in Oban for Newtonmore and congratulations go to the team for winning the cup once again.
“Commiserations again to Lovat who did exceedingly well getting to the final and no doubt they will be more determined to go one better next year.
“Newtonmore’s Camanachd Cup winning history is there for all to see and with the ages of the players on display, there is no reason why they will not be competing again on all fronts next year.
“May we wish the Camanachd Association and all the volunteers involved much success as they enter their 125th year.”
