As proud sponsors of the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup, we can’t wait to see Lovat take on Newtonmore in the final this Saturday in Oban!
Our Chief Executive George Fraser spoke of his excitement when he met with the two team captains this week.
He said: “The stage is set for a really great final.
"Having being lucky enough to have played and watched so many cup final matches over the years, the atmosphere is indescribable!
"Shinty is at the heart of so many of our communities and a lot of our suppliers, subcontractors and employees are involved in the game, so we are delighted to be able to support the event.”
George is pictured left with Andy MacKintosh, captain of Newtonmore and Lewis Tawse, Lovat captain at our Culzean show home at Greenfields, Inverness.
The 2018 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final is the premier competition for shinty, the “Greatest Day” in the annual shinty calendar, attracting thousands of spectators and broadcast live by BBC Scotland across TV, radio and online platforms.
First contested in 1896, this event is the final game of shinty’s national knock-out cup competition, and is a brilliant opportunity to watch in the Highlands two of the top teams in what’s sure to be an exciting sporting spectacle.
Throw-up is at 2.00pm at Mossfield Stadium, Oban.
At 11.00am is the Under-14 MacMaster Cup Final. Be sure to come early to support these young shinty stars!
The event is free to children under 12 with a paying adult, and food stalls will be on site, making it a great family day out!
Tulloch Homes, in its second year of a four-year sponsorship of the trophy, is very excited to be contributing to this traditional game central to many Highland and Scottish communities.
