Construction has begun on a £9 million new housing development in Glenrothes – and the developer, Tulloch Homes, is looking at other prospective sites in Fife.
The first three reservations have been placed on homes at Balgeddie Park and the initial occupancies will be next March with the 38-home development being rolled out throughout 2019 and early 2020 at prices from £180,000 to over £300,000.
Balgeddie Park is being built on land acquired by Inverness-based Tulloch Homes, who are in growth mode, and construction director Billy McKay has recruited Fife labour and sub-contractors.
“The start of building work has coincided with our opening of a sales and marketing suite at Balgeddie Park, with local woman Linda Wells engaged as sales consultant”, said Lynne Boyd, Tulloch Homes sales director.
“The enquiry rate is highly encouraging, with many from the surrounding area, attracted by the splendid location and our award-winning lifestyle product.
The first homes released for sale at Balgeddie Park will feature popular designs from the successful Tulloch portfolio. These will feature the three bedroom Torrin semi detached villa, the Nairn three bedroom detached villa, the Lochy three bedroom detached bungalow with integral garage and the Etive four bedroom detached villa with garage.
Tulloch Homes, which last week picked up a Seal of Excellence award from the National House Building Council, is the largest housebuilder in the Highlands and is actively examining the possibility of new sites in Fife and the wider Central Belt.
Their 45-home development, The Village, East Kilbride, is nearing sell-out status. New phases are starting on two existing developments in Muir of Ord and Inverness and the New Year will see work begin on the Ness Side development of 800 homes to be built over 15 to 20 years at Inverness.
